Where the meadows and creeks of the Tendring Peninsula meet the sea, a hidden corner of Essex awaits – barely an hour from London but a million miles away. At its heart, the Kingscliff Hotel – a contemporary coastal hideaway loved by locals and cherished by travellers, who come for simple seaside pleasures where England’s climate is at its kindest.Just to the south lies Clacton-on-Sea – a playground for good, old-fashioned family fun. Just to the north, genteel Frinton, the quintessential English seaside resort.
Right on the prom, resplendent in powder blue, the Kingscliff is just the spot for taking in the sea air, tucking into the freshest of seafood, and simply stepping back to watch the world go by. A place to escape; a place to celebrate. Above all, a place to feel at home.
Bathed in natural light, with sweeping sea views, the restaurant at the Kingscliff makes the most of its coastal credentials. Menus created by award-winning chefs feature lip-smacking seafood and the finest, locally sourced ingredients. Cosy up at the bar when it’s chilly outside, or bask on the landscaped terrace when the sun shines.
Imagine saying “I do!” with the beach as a backdrop, the beauty of our gardens all around you and birdsong as the background score. Add the friendly smiles of a trusted team – dedicated to making your day everything you dreamed it would be – and your happily ever after couldn’t begin on a better note.
Perhaps it’s the sea air, or perhaps the state-of-the-art facilities. Doubtless it’s a little bit of both. Kingscliff meetings make for clearer thinking and inspired ideas – all in the luxury of perfect efficiency. Bright, airy meeting spaces let the light in, cutting edge tech makes everything effortless, and delicious, nutritious food keeps delegates engaged.

Had a great time can't say a bad thing about the venue and staff was very friendly and helpful thanks to Sophie and Rebecca and Chloe or as we called them - the triplets. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone who wants a venue for a party. Thanks for helping make our night memorable.
Great venue. We had our son’s 18th Birthday party at the Kingscliff Hotel. Claire and Mark were Very helpful, friendly and obliging before and during the event. Nothing was too much trouble. Food was delicious and plentiful. Our family stayed overnight and found their rooms and the service to be very good indeed. Lovely Breakfast too! Thank you and well done to the KingscliffHotel staff. Would highly recommend!
We did not stay at the hotel but we did use their amenities...We had the wake for our uncle at the hotel. They did a fantastic job of food and beverage, and were very understanding and sensitive to our needs...Thank you to all the staff and management at the Kingscliff Hotel. Next time we will be staying at the Hotel for our vacation.
